This fragrance brings back lots of memories for me because it was the first fragrance I purchased for myself when i was in my 1st year of college many years ago. It was also the beginning of my long romance with Yves Saint Laurent fragrances over the years. I have bought many and have never been disappointed with any. This brand is one of my top designers for fragrances. You cant go wrong with any of them.

Its my moms perfume. She always repurchases the same fragance, she loves it, and feels very identified with the essence. It last very long in her and it is something that she values. It is a little bit expensive but you can find some discounts in sephora. However I dont like it at all, I think its a more mature fragance. It wont be a good gift for a young girl.

Bought this for my teen son for Christmas. I usually do not like the colognes teens use axe body spray never please so we decided to upgrade to a real man cologne. I asked my husband to see how he liked it before we gifted it and he loved it. He said you could tell it was an upper class smell with nice woodsy smell to it. He almost tried to take it for himself. When my son finally got it, he also loved it and has been using it every day since then. Would buy again.

I buy a lot of cologne. Ive liked LHomme since I first smelled a sample in a magazine when I was a teenager Im almost 40 now. LHomme is a rich naturalsmelling scent reminiscent of fine wine and wood. Its not overpowering at all. It just smells good and you wont find a more pleasant or sophisticated scent anywhere in my opinion. Back to my Ibuyalotofcologne point. I have quite a collection of cologne that Ive amassed over the years. Im always looking for nice scents but so many times Ill buy something and itll start out nice and turn to headache material. Or itll start out awful and get worse. I have four other YSL colognes. Not a one is close in quality to LHomme. I have about 30 other bottles. Burberry is okay, but has a synthetic overtone. Tommy Bahama signature is nice, but discontinued and now costs 300 a bottle. Aventus is nice but overpowering and overpriced. Same deal with Tom Ford. I keep buying new stuff thinking Ill find a new favorite, but I never do. I keep coming back to this one. LHomme is an old standby. It never disappoints. Its cheap compared to some of the highend stuff. You will smell like a gentleman and you wont offend people with this one generally. I think I currently have two or three bottles. Too many people think overpowering is good I cant smell it after an hour. You shouldnt smell your cologne unless youre trying to offend people. If youre looking for that kind of scent, let me know and Ill send you something. Like I said, I have plenty of garbage colognes. If you want to buy a classic scent thats worth more than the bottle costs, get this one.

This is the most beautiful timeless floral eau de parfum with hint of rose and violet. The sort of smell that lingers and lasts all day. People will stop and compliment you. I use a quick squirt on my outfit near my chest in the morning. Been wearing this for the last 35 years and never get tired of it or those around me. I hope its around as long as I am. It is me and I will never change. The eau de toilette and eau de cologne strength dont smell the same and cannot be compared not worth purchasing.
