This balm cream is very worthy of its impeccable reputation. It really does everything it says it does. This cream makes my skin look radiant and well rested and it is truly like a spa treatment that I can wear all day and night. It smooths, evens, balances, tones and heals the skin day or night. It can be used many ways, during the day or at night, to set, prime or refresh face makeup. It works very well on its own even without face makeup. This balm behaves better than the best BB cream but without the tint. My skin is a bit dry, so I apply this over my moisturizer and it works perfectly to give it a natural glow with no hint of grease.I am so glad that I found this product thanks to Clarins generous free samples. I never would have tried it otherwise. I am always a bit weary of spending money on creams I have not tried, never being sure how my sensitive skin will react. It has a lovely scent. This cream works perfectly on my sensitive skin and does not cause me to break out.I now dont know how I lived without it and now I wear this daily.I dont always wear foundation and this naturally perfects my face. Even without makeup on, it makes my skin look and feel amazing.

There was no info with regard to the amount of product you should use in the instructions. The Clarins website advises a hazelnut size amount there is also a short video showing how to apply in this unique fashion i.e. pressing onto the skin rather than massaging in. The cream is light but takes a while to sink in. After regular nightly use my skin does appear refreshed, brighter and feels smoother. I have noticed an improved appearance of fine lines I havent got age spots so cant comment on this I feel that with continued use the appearance of deeper lines and the firmness of my skin based on results to date will be improved. If this proves to be the case when I have finished the jar even tho it is very expensive I would consider purchasing it again. I am using this product together with the day cream in the same family.
