This product was suggested as a primer which could also double as a mask. I was intrigued.. She gave me a sample to take home and try… It just so happens that I had just been given samples of a NYX primer.. An hourglass one and a smash box one too.. so it was good to compare the four… So I am 48 yrs old, my skin is dry but oily round my nose and chin, its hypa sensitive to fragrances AND I have rosacea…I also now have pores that are becomming visible with my glasses on So far Ive been lucky with lines.. Oh they are there, but. Thankfully they do disappear if I stop smiling..for now.. so that wasnt my main concern it was the pores, keeping my foundation on to cover the redness and helping that general smoothing effect I was looking for. I tried the Clarins first.. It went on beautifully.. Just like she said.. A pea size.. smoothed on.. Not massaged.. Then foundation straight on.. It looked good, my pores didnt disappear but my skin did look better, my foundation went on well and it stayed on all day The following days I tried the other brands and realized that they felt really chemically, sitting on the skin rather than becomming a part of it.. All three were quite drying and none felt like I was doing my skin any favours by using them. Back to the clarins.. Oh yeah.. Thats better.. It feels nice.. It looks nice.. You use a tiny amount.. It cost the same as the makeupy brands.. But it seems better for you. It can double as a mask.. So you get even more benefits… I would recommend it but I can only speak for my issues.. I hope you dont have as many as I do but if you even have one give it a go you might just like it.

I got this during the skin care event. I read many reviews before purchasing, and I have to say this stuff will be a repurchase for me I love it. I think you just have to know how to use it. I use mine as a primer actually, and I love it so much more than any other actual face primer I have used. You apply it to you skin and spread evenly BUT DO NOT RUB IN. Just spread across your skin until invisible. And apply you foundation VERY QUICKLY after. I use MUFE HD applied with a beauty blender and the results are BEAUTIFUL. I dont even have problems with breakdown or getting overly oily later in the day a problem I experienced with other primers. Plus it does have a tightening effect. Now it may not be friendly with all foundations but I can say it works excellent with MUFE when applied with a beauty blender. I tried to use it with my sample of the new NARS all day luminous weightless and it was a disaster.. but that foundation is very finicky to begin with. Personally I was hoarding this for my especially tired looking days and nights out because of the price, but recently have just started using it daily because I love it so much.

I received a small travel size Clarins Beauty Flash Balm as a part of a skincare set from Macys for Christmas and oh honey, where have you been all my life I recommend using the flash balm as a primer to tighten and brighten your skin and make your makeup stay all day. No primer Ive ever tried before truly gives my skin the incredible finish that this product has. I have cystic acne in spots and this is the only product that has allowed makeup to sit on top of my problem areas, masking them rather than sinking product in, accentuating my acne. A little goes a long way but instead of rubbing this product in like most primers, you just swipe it over your skin letting it sit on top providing a barrier for makeup and IMMEDIATELY apply your foundation so the product doesnt loose affect. Its truly a game changer.

It gives a matte foundation a fresher look, without sufficing its coverage, and can allow you to skip moisturiser.This worked so well with Estee Lauder Double Wear, it actually helped that foundation from being so matte cakey, which that foundation sometimes does.I believe this is suitable for all skin types, though oily skin will get oilier than usual by the end of the day.As a face mask…yes, once washed off, you can feel its made the skin a lot more smoother softer, tightened. I rarely do it, however. This can be seen more of a skincare product than a makeup product.One megacon is that it sometimes rolls off in gluey balls.
