Ive been using Clarins products since buying them in France, very early 80s. As Ive gotten older, Clarins has always had a line to work with my skin. I DO experiment, and give my skin a rest now and then with By Terry or a boutique line. But for night Clarins superrestorative eye, Double Serum, and SuperRestorative Night Cream.I live in Palm Springs, where the sun can fry you and the air is patched, but my skin is healthy, plumped, and looks good enough to go makeup free. I get compliments a lot, which is always nice especially after my sunbunny decadesI started using Clarins when I had oily skin with occasional breakouts Lotus oil was a revelation and now I guess Im dry, but Im not an alligator. So…living proof, kids.For an extra bit of OOMPH apply serum and cream as instructed. The French know their way around face massage.

Very nice and effective moisturizer First, I want to disclose that I received a 5 day sample of this product for testing purposes and was very pleased with the light smooth consistency of this cream. It left my skin with just the right amount of moisture and left my skin feeling baby soft. There is only one drawback which is the fragrance. I am not opposed to fragrance and to be quite honest I like the smell of the cream, however, for some reason the fragrance in this cream makes my eyes water. So this cream may not be the one for those who are extremely sensitive to fragrance. Other than that, this product is great. It is a very good quality moisturizer and at a reasonable price. I recently purchased the Restorative eye concentrate and am currently loving that product.

Clarins has changed this cream over time. When I first bought it, mid90s, it had a pleasant fragrance and was far more emollient. Loved it Late 90s or so, they changed the scent added some astringent ingredient that made it feel tingly but decreased the emollient properties. At that point, I stopped using it regularly because the results just werent there. Out of curiosity, I purchased it again recently after trying a dab at Macys. The current formula has a fragrance similar to the original and does soften my skin, but has a greasy sheen that sits on the surface for quite awhile before absorbing….reminds me of the old Ponds cream my mom used to use years ago. actually have to wipe my hands a bit after applying or it puts fingerprints on everything I touch Earlier opinion is confirmed I wont be purchasing this again regularly. Imo, a natural product like Avalons firming cream is effective, less expensive and non greasy.

This product is a miracle worker all in one. I always have trouble getting my foundation to stay flawless even if it looks great when I first apply it. I have normal to oily skin with dry patches occasionally. This product will make your foundation go on super smoothly. For reference, MUFE Ultra HD was the hardest foundation for me to last the day with. And I wanted to make it work so badly because I wanted that dewy glow, even though I normally have oily skin. Paired with Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder my makeup was bulletproof. Sure it can get a bit more shiny on my nose but it looked like a healthy went for a jog glow rather than a my makeup is melting slick. Pro Tip you can put a slightly thicker layer of Clarins Flash Balm on your face so its still moist when you go in with foundation I like using a Beauty Blender. This is a great way to prime. Or, you can mix a bit of Flash Balm on the back of your hand with your foundation and blend that onto your face.
