I am in love. Honestly, its been forever since Ive found a perfume this amazing It has a floral yet somehow salty smell. The bottle is beautiful, the scent lasts for hours and still smells soft and seductive. I smelt this on a girl and just had to ask what it was, I was shook. I tried it myself and it threw a sweeter more floral scent that was different than the way she smelt, but it almost smelt better on me haha. Overall, its a hit girls I get asked about it all the time Its amazing enough to wear daily or for a special eventGo check it out Its money well spent

Wow it hurts to give this only 3 stars, but I am left with no choice. I worked in the beauty department of a department store, right beside he fragrance counter. Every time someone would spray this my nose was in heaven. People would try it on and I just adored it on everyone. I tried it a few times at work however, only on my clothes. When I purchased it and brought it home, I noticed that when Id spray directly onto my skin, the smell was extremely unpleasant. It dried down almost sourpukey. I tried damp skin, dry skin, lotion, no lotion, different body washes, but could just not make this work for me. So I started using on only clothes but it would inevitably end up with that same smell after a few hours. Sorry, I wanted to love it, I did love it, but it just doesnt work with my body chemistry unfortunately. What a shame. I recommend trying before purchasing, although I seem to be the only one with this experience.

This is how far behind I am Paco Rabanne has already got Olympa Aqua on the perfume counters, and Im just getting around to reviewing the original Olympa. Ive actually had the sample for a bit, but its mostly just sat there, waiting while I reviewed other, more likely candidates. The folks over at Paco Rabanne have done a great job of keeping the brand relevant with the youth market, but have not shown much interest, so far, with the notyouth market, which of course includes me, and partly explains why the lack of interest is pretty much mutual. I did review Black XS For Her way back in 2007 but I skipped Lady Million altogether. Kevin, however, gamely reviewed Invictus ugly, he said, and I wholeheartedly concur, so here I go1with Olympa, the fragrance for the modern day Cleopatra. As is so often the case with these big designer launches, it took a team of big name perfumers Loc Dong, Anne Flipo and Dominique Ropion to put it together. Its advertised as a fresh oriental and as a a unique fusion between a sensual salted vanilla accord and refreshing floral notes,2 and thats all reasonably accurate. Olympa starts with a very juicy, very green citrus overlaid with a decent lashing of ginger. It announces its fresh orientation right out of the gate, with vague allusions to Glade and LEau dIssey, but its otherwise a nice enough start. It sweetens up as the top notes fade, with candied but watery floral notes and then creamy vanilla over a woody musk with salty solar undertones. It has a summery, almostbeachy feel neither caramel popcorn nor coconut are listed in the notes, but there are faint strains of either or both, and theres just enough powder to lend a velvety finish to the far dry down. Verdict Its just fine. Its reasonably wearable and reasonably pleasant if applied in moderation despite the fresh and watery notes, it is not really a sheer scent. Not surprisingly, I found it both too sweet and too synthetically fresh for my taste, and in general, it called up modern youth on spring break more than Cleopatra. Still, not bad, and a far cry better than Invictus. If you want something along the same lines, but maybe a little more sophisticated, you might try Calvin Klein Reveal. If you want more fruit and less fresh, you might try Thierry Mugler Womanity. Paco Rabanne Olympa is available in 30, 50 and 80 ml Eau de Parfum and in matching body products. I think there was originally an Extrait as well, but perhaps it is already sold out The notes include mandarin, ginger lily, aquatic accord, jasmine, vanilla, cashmere wood, sandalwood and ambergris.

I could see how people would not like this scent. It isnt very floral, it isnt really a gourmand, and if you over spray it it could be overwhelming. What you do get is a scent that is spicy in the beginning, almost too spicy, then it immediately calms down to a nice, warm fragrance that lasts a long time.My boyfriend is allergic to cheaper body sprays and some scented candles, so I was nervous about wearing this around him. I was pleased that it didnt bother him. I think that the trick to wearing it well is to stick to spraying it on pulse points or spray ahead of you and walk into it. You really dont want to spray it all over you, as so many people did in the 1980s and causes many bad memories for people. I dont remember smelling it then, so I dont have those same memories associated with it.Overall, its a great oriental as long as you dont bathe in it, and it lasts a really long time. I took off a star because of how easy it is to overdo it with the spraying.

Ck In2U by Calvin Klein, Calvin Klein captures the energy of joyful spontaneity. This cocktail of exotic spices and tart botanicals is considered an aromatic fougere a distinct combination of sweet and deliciously sour that will ensnare whoever comes near. This scent stays true to the genre with top notes of lemon and tomato leaf, each known for their biting tartness. Sensuous cacao pod, the seed ultimately used to create chocolate, dominates the heart of this fragrance. The scent settles down into a base of cedar, white must and mossy vetiver, accenting the chocolate currents throughout. I bought this Eau de Toilette and also Ck IN2U for women solely based on fragrance description, because I have many CK perfumes and I trust CK brand. I never got disappointed with my choices. This is absolutely amazing fragrance. I would definitely recommend this product.

I bought the 30ml of this to trial and feel in love with it. The fragrance is Divine, not too sweet our cloying. I constantly get compliments when wearing it. I recently purchased the 80ml bottle and on opening the box found the Laurel design on the sides was different from the pictures. It actually comes up beside the spray nozzle on both sides, blocking half of the spray direction and making it awkward to actually spray the fragrance where you want it. There doesnt seem to be a way to open the bottle to transfer the fragrance to a dispenser without breaking it.

nooo sephora didnt publish my original review, so here it is againI used to use Bath Body Works Warm Vanilla Sugar as a preteenteen. I grew out of it and into aquatic scents, but Olympea has made me love this fragrance family again Olympea is a grownup, sophisticated version of WVS.I absolutely smell salted caramel as soon as I spray it. However, after a few minutes, it dies down into a more subtle sweetness with lingering hints of the saltiness and a bit of floral. Like WVS, I smell the vanilla and sugar notes. Surprisingly, this wasnt oriental or spicy, as Paco Rabanne describes it. On my skin, Olympea does also impart a slightly woodyamber quality after a few hours.Lasting power is up to 6 hours on my normal skin. Sillage is not too highstrong, but lasting power is pretty good…by hour 3, it smells almost like freshly washed skin cough cough Clean Skin this is how you shouldve smelled like. A little salty, a little sweet without going into candysweet territory…almost like I wasnt wearing anythingGorgeous bottle, but the cap is flimsy compared to the rest of the bottle, so be carefulIf you love the BBW Vanilla Sugar but want something a little more grownup aka you dont want to smell like the candy aisle with more than just a blast of sweet sugar, youll love this. Otherwise, steer clear. My current fave is the Chloe EDP… its my ideal scent, and this comes a close second. I wouldve given 5 stars had it been a touch less sweetcaramely and had slightly longer lasting powerAnother scent Id compare it to is the Viktor Rolf Flowerbomb, which I hate but is similar in sillage and lasting power to Olympea. Olympea is also considerably less spicy and floral.

This is a great scent but when I saw the price, I was shocked at how expensive the fragrance was. Since I received this sample complimentary for testing purposes, I didnt know the retail price. Though, after I realized that this was a scent that would last you a long time because of how strong of a scent it is, I could see justifying the price. Since it is so strong, you only really need one spritz and youre good for the rest of the day. I just used it when I decided to go to a baseball game and by the time I was back home several hours later, I could still smell the fragrance on me. Id give it a 5 star review except that certain scents trigger my migraines and this was one of them. Ill only use this on very special occasions.
